Increased appetite, weight gain, indigestion, nausea, mood changes, insomnia, headache, increased blood sugar, fluid retention, increased blood pressure, acne, increased risk of infections

Use only on medical advice. Do not stop abruptly after prolonged use (risk of adrenal suppression). Increased susceptibility to infections; avoid contact with chickenpox/measles and report fever/sore throat. Caution in diabetes, hypertension, peptic ulcer disease, osteoporosis, glaucoma/cataract, psychiatric illness, liver/kidney impairment. Long-term use may cause bone loss, growth retardation in children, Cushingoid features. Vaccines: avoid live vaccines during high-dose or long-term steroid therapy.

NSAIDs/aspirin (GI bleed risk), anticoagulants like warfarin (altered effect), antidiabetics/insulin (may need dose adjustment), diuretics (hypokalemia), digoxin (arrhythmia risk with low potassium), rifampicin/phenytoin/carbamazepine (reduced steroid effect), ketoconazole/ritonavir/cobicistat (increased steroid levels), cyclosporine (increased toxicity), vaccines (reduced response; avoid live vaccines)

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from moisture and light. Keep in original pack and out of reach of children.
